My background is as non-technical as it can be. I studied foreign languages and business management
and landed jobs in marketing, account management and sales suppport. For years I was dreaming about
doing something different, something more challenging, but I just could not figure out the direction.
Despite of having worked more than 5 years with a tech giant, my role was the least technical one.
My closest experience with tech was having lunch together with developers in the canteen. I was deeply
clueless about my future endeavours.
But then the coronavirus pandemic arrived and I was forced out of my comfortzone like many of us.
I was visiting my parents back in Budapest, Hungary when one morning I decided to give it a go and try
a short coding course.
I had no idea what to expect so it came as a surprise to me how much I actually enjoyed it.
I enrolled in various online classes including SheCodes.io coding workshops for women and
added courses from Udemy, FreeCodeCamp, Coursera and Linkedin to my daily routine.
Becoming a junior front-end developer has been my dream and goal for about a year.
Now that I am adding the last touches to my portfolio, I feel full of joy! 😊 There is still a long journey ahead, and I'm so looking forward to it!
